Full Job Description

Ensuring that the project controls team are working in accordance with the RRR Project Governance Framework and associated processes.,

  • Maintain and manage robust cost management frameworks, procedures and tools with responsibility for accurate project cost reporting and analysis.
  • Working with the Cost Controller, develop and maintain project budgets and cost reports on behalf of the Project/Package Managers ensuring EAC forecasts are available at a suitable level for each financial month end close, gate review boards, annual budgets and critical project decisions.
  • Monitor and control project actuals, value of work done (VOWD), commitments and forecast costs against approved budgets and prepare accurate project reports for review by Cost Controller.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a robust change control process within the project and recommend actions accordingly
  • Monitor monthly cost reports from project contractors and /or consultants ensuring timely and accurate accrual submissions to finance.
  • Support finance in validating monthly invoice/billing requests from contractors and/or consultants are correct and in-line with approved budget and any variations challenged.
  • Participate in cost & estimate risk analysis sessions as required.
  • Assist in establishing a Fit for Purpose Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for each phase of the project.

    Ability to work well within a team and also pro-actively under own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build, maintain and strengthen relationships with colleagues
  • Proficient with Excel and SAP. Experience in working with MS Applications
  • Knowledge and Experience Required Essential
  • Proven track record of working in a cost control position within Small/Mid/Large capital project(s) within offshore wind and/or other energy sectors.
  • Significant experience in project cost management - cost estimating, cost budgeting, change control, commitments, VOWD, cost forecasting, progress reporting, WBS structures etc. in a project development, engineering or construction environment.
  • Previous experience providing support to team members

  • Demonstrates ability to identify areas for improved efficiency on projects and has previous experience implementing strategies to achieve more efficient working, Relevant degree qualification is preferred but not essential. Candidates with 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role but with lesser qualifications will also be considered.
