Cost / Project Controller

FinTech RS are delighted to be assisting our client, a well-known energy-focused business, that is in the market to recruit a Project Controller. Our client offers flexible working schemes such as hybrid working (min 3 days in the office) and flexi-fridays.

Key duties:

• The role involves establishing a project control system that integrates client accounting and reporting systems with our clients standardised cost control methods, including supply chain forecasting, reporting, and contract financials.
• Responsibilities include adjusting budgets for scope changes, coding and approving costs, and coordinating budget reporting with project managers and relevant departments.
• Additionally, the role entails developing cost control processes, managing budget revisions, forecasting cash flow, and regularly updating the project cost control sheet. Providing financial advice on expected outcomes, analysing project data, conducting evaluations, and ensuring correct cost allocation are also key tasks.
• The job also requires timely client billing, monitoring payments and invoices, and supporting the project manager in client invoicing to maintain the overall financial health of the project.

Candidates should have a strong project/cost control background ideally gained from an energy business.
