Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic nurse who is able to meet the requirements of the post: CTAC & Vaccination Staff Nurse, detailed in the job description. The post holder will work within the Community Treatment and Care & Vaccination team across East Argyll & Bute but will mainly be based in Helensburgh.

They will be expected to deliver nursing care in accordance with the new GP contract terms. The post holder will be part of the extended Primary Care team and will work collaboratively with GP Practices, Community Nursing teams and other AHPs to deliver excellent quality, person centred care.

This role requires excellent time management skills, adaptability and a desire to provide holistic care for a wide variety of patients. Experience in wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, vaccinations and diagnostics such as ECG/ABPM would be desirable but training will be given to the appropriate candidate. 

In applying for this role you will be a nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

You will have skills and experience to work within a community setting, to deliver high quality standards of care and be able to work as part of a multi-professional team. You must have flexibility, excellent communication skills, be adaptable to change and evidence continuing personal development. A driving license is required for this post.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
