Full Job Description

We are recruiting for a Customer Service Coordinator to join our client initially on a maternity contract basis until April 2025, with the opportunity to go permanent.


You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling queries, and managing customer accounts. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and enthusiastic team player, able to work under pressure while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all duties.


Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries, pricing requests, delivery information, and sample requests via telephone and email.
  • Manage multiple team mailboxes in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Verify addresses, pricing, discount details, product availability, and haulage options.
  • Ensure pricing requests are accurately updated within the CRM system.
  • Register new opportunities and updates within the CRM system in a timely manner.
  • Accurately process Quotations, Sales Orders, Samples, and Schedules in the system.
  • Review and manage customer orders and schedules in coordination with the Sales & Operational Planning team.
  • Investigate and resolve invoice queries efficiently.
  • Collaborate with haulage partners to address delivery issues, aiming to reduce costs for both the customer and the business.
  • Manage haulage payments and ensure accurate and regular updates are made within the CRM system.
  • Engage in soft sales by working with the Commercial teams to promote available stock and increase sales opportunities.

Experience/Skills:

  • Previous customer service experience is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong telephone manner and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while thriving under pressure.
  • A proactive team player with a flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
  • A creative and adaptable approach to problem-solving and customer engagement.

Offering:

  • Contract: Maternity Cover until April 2025 (Potential to go Permanent)
  • Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 08.30 - 17.00 (One-hour lunch)
  • Office Based
