Full Job Description

All roles are key within the WM department in ensuring that work week planning and execution effectively support Site Licence Conditions, Statutory Regulations and the focus areas of Equipment Reliability, Operational Focus and Fire Safety., You will report to the Work Management Group Head. You will be accountable for the provision of effective and efficient Work Management in order to achieve best possible performance of the management of work processes including:

  • Scheduling work to ensure that all activities support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance within agreed Site Licence, Statutory, and environmental standards and expectations

  • Working with the organisation to identify the inputs from the Station Long term strategic plan and providing the appropriate support to ensure delivery of Station Business Plan objectives

  • Development and maintenance of the Work Week Plans ensuring that scope is operationally risk aligned, issues are resolved in a timely manner and resources are within agreed limits prior to handover

  • Utilising EDF Work Week planning tools and specifications to facilitate the efficient maintenance and repair of plant and equipment

  • Facilitating meetings to evaluate and sanction incoming work ensuring emergent work is delivered in accordance with its significance

  • Organising, chairing and attending associated Work Management meetings applicable to planned maintenance packages.

  • Performing post execution work reviews to capture learning, identify and drive areas for improvement

  • Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills with relevant stakeholders to promote engagement with the Work Management process.

If so, and you have experience working in a technical or operational field, this could be the role for you!, As a minimum, candidates will have a relevant HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.


  • You will ideally have a broad Plant knowledge and an awareness of operational and maintenance constraints.

    You will also have:

  • Good communication skills, and work well within a team environment with the ability to communicate effectively across many work groups and build effective cross-functional relationships

  • Organisation and prioritisation skills in order to manage demanding workloads

  • A flexible and proactive approach to your work

  • Experience using Work Management software tools eg: EDF Asset Management System, Business Objects, MS Project and other Microsoft applications

  • Relevant experience in a technical or operational background

    We can offer a competitive salary starting from £40,069 and you'll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Nuclear Generation Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
