Data Analyst| 10 Months (Inside IR35)| Hybrid (Tweedbank)|

Harvey Nash's client is recruiting for a Data Analyst on a 10 month contract.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the current project data repository) is available to the project team, and implement the necessary queries/screens for data review and analysis.
  • Generate Excel outputs for sharing with partner organisations.
  • Expand the data structure to support importing, separating, and comparing data from partner organisations (e.g., categorizing as matching/non-matching and highlighting differences).
  • Develop reports on financial liabilities/variances, member and contract statistics, and data validation results.
  • Provide guidance on the limitations and risks of the current project data repository (Access DB) and oversee the transition to a more suitable data tool if needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to define and meet data requirements and specifications.
  • Maintain positive and professional communication with the project team, as well as internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Key Skills

  • Expertise in Access DB
  • Experience in database management (maintenance, manipulation, access and querying) using SQL.
  • Expertise in data modelling, reporting, analysis, presentation and visualisation.
  • Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience conceiving, designing and building dashboards using tools such as Excel and enterprise BI solutions such as Caseware Idea, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements.
  • Must be able to work independently on MS Access
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work within an agreed set of priorities or work programme.
  • Ability to lead on data initiatives, develop a plan and influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders to implement the plan
  • Must be able to support moving to Apex Oracle after Excel.
