Full Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven, pro-active individual to join our Markets and Treasury Operations team as a Data and Process Optimisation Subject Matter Expert who is passionate about simplifying and automating our processes and controls.

The Markets & Treasury Operations teams focus on all Markets trade settlement activities for LBCM, Lloyds Bank/Bank of Scotland, and GCT. They process all trading activity in a seamless, efficient, and controlled manner, enhancing our customer experience. Our aim is to build a world leading settlement function that adds to the value proposition for our client base by engaging our resources and partnering with market leaders in automation and AI.

You'll be responsible for designing solutions to enhance the processing of trade settlements, and delivering increased scalability and efficiency.

It is important to have knowledge of markets product life cycles and be comfortable designing innovative data led solutions that maximise automation. Having a good understanding of the process required to develop, and deploy solutions into a business environment will also be key.

You'll work closely with colleagues to understand the core components of complex processes, and deliver innovative and simple solutions that both improve straight through processing via automation, whilst at the same time also minimising operational risk. Understanding data flows within end to end processes, and how data can be ingested, transformed, validated and processed will be key to delivering highly automated, low risk processes.

You'll demonstrate a good knowledge of product life cycles and be able to design and build the optimal solutions for subsequent automation within Xceptor (a data and process automation tool). Collaboration and engagement skills are vital and you must be comfortable operating in an agile, dynamic environment. Your CV should also demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to understand and map out processes and data flows

  • An understanding of data management/processing principles and how to apply these to business processes to optimise straight through processing

  • An ability to document complex business requirements and create innovative solutions to maximise process automation

  • Experience of applying 'Control by design' to support the delivery of robust and optimal controls within a process in order to minimise operational risk

  • An understanding of Xceptor, its key attributes/functionality as well as its limitations.

  • Experience of the change process from design to deployment within a post trade environment

  • And Any Experience Of These Would Be Really Useful
  • Excellent track record for delivery to timescales and effective management of risks and issues

  • Strong transformation background and track record of delivering process change/optimisation to a high standard

  • Strong problem-solving skills using a combination of business and technical knowledge, experience, and judgement to identify available options and clearly set out the way forward

  • Show well-developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

  • Experience of collaborating with existing process operators to illicit key process challenges/requirements and develop robust solutions that drive measurable enhancements.

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

  • We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks. And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We're disability confident. So if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
