The role is Hybrid 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced DB Pension Specialist to join their dynamic team. This remote position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere in the UK while contributing to the success and growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DB pensions, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage DB pension schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients on DB pension matters, including funding, valuations, and scheme governance.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and reporting on DB pension schemes, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with actuaries, trustees, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of pension schemes.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in pension regulations and industry best practices, and communicate these to clients and colleagues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pension scheme administration.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing and advising on Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
  • Strong understanding of DB pension regulations, funding principles, and governance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex pension information clearly and effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using pension administration software and tools.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., PMI, APMI) are highly desirable.
