Debt Advisor (Multiply Project) (1 Post) (35 hours Temporary)

Following a successful bid to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we are launching a financial education programme for adult learners. Following on from completion of numeracy classes to Nat 5 Level, adult learners will be offered a budgeting and money management module which will assist people to put the numeracy skills into practice in everyday living scenarios. Based across North Lanarkshire you will be responsible for the production, delivery and monitoring of courses. Debt Advisors in these posts will also deliver in the administration and provision of initial advice and information on debt advice and money management to the general public.

It is essential that you are educated to SVQ3 or HNC level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate an extended period of relevant work experience. You should also possess good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and have proven numeracy skills. You should have experience of dealing with people, individually, or in groups; be able to work on your own initiative and, on occasion, outwith normal working hours. Previous experience in a money advice/debt counselling environment is essential.

Debt Advisor (3 Posts) (2 x 35hrs Permanent & Temporary) (1 x 21 hours Temporary)

Based across North Lanarkshire you will be responsible for the efficient administration and provision of initial advice and information on debt advice and money management to the general public. 

It is essential that you are educated to SVQ3 or HNC level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate an extended period of relevant work experience. You should also possess good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and have proven numeracy skills. You should have experience of dealing with people, individually, or in groups; be able to work on your own initiative and, on occasion, outwith normal working hours. Previous experience in a money advice/debt counselling environment is essential.

The ability to travel throughout North Lanarkshire is essential.

Prior to commencing in this role, you are required to have a Basic Disclosure.

Part time post work pattern - 21 hours

Wed & Thurs 8.45am - 4.45pm

Fri - 8.45am - 4.15pm

 Temporary positions are contracted until 31st March 2025.
