Full Job Description

  • Proactively manage a caseload of small claims debt litigation from pre-action through to conclusion, including enforcement action when necessary.
  • Negotiate settlements using both formal and informal ADR methods.
  • Attend hearings as a witness or representative.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on your caseload.
  • Resolve complaints submitted to CISAS and, where appropriate, submit a defence to CISAS.
  • Handle claims issued against Chess and managed the conduct of these claims.

    Have a minimum of 1 year debt litigation experience
  • Have a working knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules applicable to Small Claims
  • Basic knowledge of contract law
  • Be highly organised and have excellent time management skills
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Desirable:
  • Knowledge of OFCOM General Conditions
  • Relevant industry experience (Telecommunications, IT Services)
