Full Job Description

  • Manage the delivery of CCTV, wastewater assets, and flow surveys on sewer networks for our clients.
  • Manage the delivery of our lead investigations.
  • Manage the health, safety, and well-being of our field-based teams.

  • Deliver a high level of customer service to our external and internal customers.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of field staff members initially, with a view to this increasing in line with our growth plan.

    Ideally based near Grangemouth, the successful applicant will be experienced in working in confined spaces and highway working, ideally holding both a Confined Spaces Certificate and NRSWA Signing Lighting & Guarding qualification.
  • Experience and awareness of managing work in high-risk environments such as confined spaces and highways.
  • Team leadership - experience of successfully leading integrated/blended/diverse/multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex project outputs and programme outcomes.
  • Communication - high emotional intelligence - listens and questions effectively, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strive to exceed client aspiration and are goal driven.
  • You will have extensive experience in the leadership and management of field-based teams, ideally gained in the utility service industry or similar and will have the ability to deliver results in an often unpredictable, operational environment.
  • You will have proven experience managing performance and able to implement change.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS office suite, work management systems and applications are essential.
  • Demonstrable track record of reliability and flexibility
  • Desirable but not essential:
  • Water industry experience - knowledge of the working practices
  • Detailed knowledge of both public sewer networks and domestic drainage system, A degree qualified in a relevant subject is desirable although significant previous experience will be considered.
  • IOSH managing safely.
  • A full UK driving license is also essential.

    RPS has an exciting opportunity for a Delivery Manager to join our Water Consulting business. This is a senior-level position and will deliver and build upon our existing frameworks and relationships with utility companies across Scotland.
  • Your responsibilities will primarily focus on the direct line management of our field staff working across our Lead Investigation and Wastewater Projects, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, training is kept up to date and investigation are carried out to a high standard. As well as supporting the day-to-day operations, the Delivery Manager will support, develop, and manage growth within the team.
