An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Dental Nurse Manager to join our team. Ideally based in Helensburgh but base negotiable with Argyll and Bute HSCP.
The post holder is an integral member of the Dental Management Team and will participate in the formation of operational and strategic plans. Supporting the development of others, the post holder will provide direct line management and professional leadership to Lead Dental Nurses, Centre Managers and Orthodontic Nurses. Additionally the post holder will be required to provide chairside and administrative assistance to the PDS clinicians of NHS Highland, Argyll & Bute HSCP.
It is essential that the Dental Nurse Manager holds a recognised Dental Nursing qualification (National Examination for Dental Nurses / SVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing) and has full registration as a Qualified Dental Nurse with the General Dental Council and is experienced in managing and leading staff dispersed teams.
Duties involve attendance at other clinics within Argyll and Bute, therefore a driving licence is essential.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
