Join us as a Depositary Monitoring & Control Manager

  • We’re looking for someone to help assess and make sure we adhere to a culture of adequate and effective control and testing across the NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services businesses
  • You’ll play a key role in minimising regulatory and operational risk across the business through the implementation of the Group Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and bespoke regulatory frameworks
  • We’ll provide you with the opportunity to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in this role, giving you and your work lots of exposure

What you'll do


As a Depositary Monitoring & Control Manager you’ll be assisting in the delivery of an effective and compliant operational and regulatory control framework regime for the business area. This will involve undertaking adequacy and effectiveness control testing, supporting control identification and articulation, highlighting findings, and working with the business and key partners to remediate and implement fit-for-purpose solutions.

You’ll also be:

  • Identifying and documenting control, adequacy and the effectiveness of the business controls against policy
  • Supporting Depositary Monitoring & Control team with the delivery and implementation of different projects
  • Supporting the completion, design and reporting of Risk Appetite metrics
  • Helping to develop and improve the test plan operating model with an aim to improving effectiveness and efficiency without increasing risk
  • Proactively identifying and effectively managing risk to deliver key customer outcomes

The skills you'll need


To join us in this role, you’ll need in-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements including COLL and FUND and a good understanding of the Group Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • The ability to identify and mitigate risk through control implementation
  • Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills and the ability to adapt to your target audience
  • A proven ability to build fit-for-purpose solutions for internal and external clients
