Depute Head Teacher
35 hours per week

£75,959 (including Distance Islands Allowance)
Applications are sought for the role of Deputy Head Teacher of Kirkwall Grammar School, due to the promotion of the incumbent to Head Teacher.
The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Management Team providing leadership, vision, direction and management for the school. You should bring a successful track record of Middle or Senior Leadership with demonstrable impact on outcomes for young people. The substantive postholder has a particular responsibility for Kirkwall Grammar School’s Pupil Support teams, working closely with the Principal Teachers for Guidance and Support for Learning; experience of one or both areas will be an advantage.

Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland. This post is subject to level 2 Disclosure check with Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) for working in a regulate role with children.
Salary is based on Point 6 of the Headteacher/Depute Headteacher spine of the SNCT Salary Tables, plus Distant Islands Allowance.
