Location: Lochside Academy
Job Purpose:
To assist and where necessary deputise for the Head Teacher in the conduct of the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils, staff and the community it serves through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by ACC in accordance with current legislation and within the agreements of the SNCT.

About the Role
There is an exciting opportunity to join our school as Depute Head Teacher of Ethos and Achievement. The key roles and responsibilities are:
- Leading our Promoting Positive Relationships Strategy (including embedding UNCRC)
- Leading our Recognising and Celebrating Achievement Strategy
- Leading our Community Engagement Strategy (including weekly newsletters)
- Leading our Parental Engagement (including parent/carers evenings)
- Leading our New Staff Procedures
- Head of Myrtle House
- SLT link to Cultural Studies and Expressive Arts
Requirements
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- Full GTC (Scotland) Registration in the relevant sector.
- PVG membership – children and young people.
Responsibilities
The post holder is expected to demonstrate:
- Teaching ability as an excellent practitioner.
- Commitment to personal and school development.
- Up to date knowledge of curricular innovations and good practice in support for pupils.
- Initiative, extended professionalism and acceptance of responsibility.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, including health and safety legislation.
- Strategic thinking.
