As a Deputy Branch Manager will be responsible for a team of highly qualified and dedicated staff, the team will be instrumental in managing the high standards required to maintain a team based out in the community. We are looking for a professional Deputy Branch Manager who can maintain the quality of services required to meet National Care Standards. Reporting to the Registered Manager the purpose of this position is to support a team of Support Workers who cover defined geographical areas across the region. Maintaining a package to Service Users that ensures they are provided with support to living independently in their own accommodation and as part of the local community.
About the Role:
* Conduct/organise supervisions and appraisals, identifying training needs in line with national regulatory requirements.
* Organise rotas- Ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times
* Arrange/conduct Service User assessments, reviews and support plans to ensure compliance
* Conducting Service User reviews in line with regulatory requirements, contracts and service specifications.
* Liaising with social service/private services users regarding case conference, reviews and assessments.
* Responsible for ensuring the branch is compliant with all relevant legislation including but not limited to Care Regulations, Health & Safety and GDPR.
* In the absence of the Registered Manager, dealing with grievances/disciplinarians in line with Company procedures.
* Monitor the call monitoring system, and report back to the Registered Manager on any non-compliance.
* Be part of the out of hours on call team, on a rota basis, offering support to service user, care workers, staff and other health and social care professionals.
* To provide care in emergency situations, this could involve evening and weekends.
Role Criteria:
* SVQ3 or equivalent
* Staff management/supervision experience
* IT skills – competent in Microsoft office
* Good communication/ interpersonal skills
* Understanding of Care Standards, regulations and relevant legislation in the UK
* Full current driving licence
* Good organisational skills; both written & verbal
* Positive can do attitude
