Deputy Head of Governance and Strategy (King's and Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer)

About the Role:

We are looking for an accomplished and enthusiastic person to join our team in the King's and Lord Treasurer's Remembrancer to cover a fixed term maternity leave vacancy.

The KLTR is a specialised service which focuses on dealing with ownerless property in Scotland which includes but is not limited to land and property of dissolved companies.

As our Deputy Head of Governance and Compliance you will lead on initiatives ensuring good governance throughout the KLTR Office and implementing strategy across the Office, with the support of the Chief Finance Officer. Your role will include in-depth involvement in planning and attending our Advisory Board, Audit Committee and Executive Management Team meetings and reviewing, creating and shaping new governance processes and publications. You will work closely with the Chief Finance Officer in ensuring effective delivery of our strategic objectives, advising on compliance matters and maintaining our strategic risk register and risk management strategy.

This is a key and unique role within KLTR which will see you working regularly with the Chief Executive as well as the Chief Finance Officer and the Executive Management Team of which you will be a member. In your role you will be working to drive continuous improvement and establish the KLTR Office as a leader in good governance and compliance practice.
