Ninewells Hospital is a large NHS teaching hospital located in Dundee. The Assisted Conception Unit was established over 30 years ago and is today a state-of-the-art facility operated and managed by an experienced and highly qualified multidisciplinary team.

The Assisted Conception Unit manages approximately 450 fresh cycles of IVF / ICSI per year, most funded by the NHS, and a further 250 Frozen embryo transfers. The unit also delivers a fertility preservation service and a donor sperm bank. The regional diagnostic andrology service is delivered through the Assisted Conception Unit.

NHS Tayside currently has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Lead Clinical Embryologist to join our dedicated and successful team.

You must hold a BSc (Hons) at level 2:1, or above, in a biological or biomedical science, preferably complemented by a higher degree. You must have completed an accredited training programme, such as the ACE certificate, or the Scientist Training Programme, STP. You must also be a HCPC Clinical Scientist.

You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, ability to model strong values-based leadership and be able to work as part of a team.

A presentation will be required at interview; details of the topic will be sent to those candidates shortlisted for interview.
