Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Specialist Nurse based at Biggart Hospital

What you will do:

You will be accountable for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for patients with Parkinsons Disease, working within the professional standards held in the NMC Code of Conduct.

You will have continuing responsibility for the safe and responsive provision of care in their area of responsibility, will participate in audit and quality assurance programme, promoting evidence based practice and will assist in providing specialist training and education to nurses, AHPs and junior medical staff in relation to the care of patients with Parkinsons Disease.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should be motivated and self - driven with a commitment to developing and delivering a high standard of individualised care to patients within a specialist service.  You should have knowledge and experience with Parkinson Disease and Movement Disorders and have undertaken or currently undertaking their prescribing module.   

Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
