Full Job Description

ESG Drysdales are currently recruiting for Dispatch Operatives to join our team due to the growth of the business.

No previous dispatch experience is required as full training will be provided.

An ability to do manual handling is also required for the role, as it can be a physically demanding job with lifting trays of products onto pallets. The applicant will not just be a forklift driver and will be expected to help with picking orders onto pallets.

The role asks you to be fully flexible from Monday through to Sunday as the shifts patterns can vary between 4 on 4 off or 5 on 2 off. During the peak season, shifts can be up to 12 hours long but this is completely dependent on the arrival/departure of lorries, so some early/late finishes may not be out the ordinary throughout the rest of the year.

You will be entitled to 30 days holiday per year and will be enrolled into a pension scheme.

Own transport is required due to the location of the site not being accessible by public transport.

Communication is key within this role as you will be working as part of a team. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail and excellent organisation skills to ensure customer orders are picked and fulfilled to the highest standard.

Job duties include:

· Loading goods onto collection vehicles using counterbalance forklift and pallet trucks

· Checking products correspond with the delivery notes

· You will be picking and packing orders in the loading bay ready to dispatch

· Assisting Dispatch Supervisors when necessary
