Developer-Team Lead| 6 Months (Outside IR35)| Hybrid (Glasgow)

Harvey Nash's Client is looking for a Developer- Team Lead on a 6 month contract.

Main Responsibilities

• Developer required to provide technical leadership, mentorship and delivery capability to a newly established team with pressing need to migrate to a new AWS platform to meet organisational cost reduction and modernisation objectives.
• Looking for a Developer with experience of working with Service Oriented Architectures developed with Java and Spring Boot, who is passionate about working in agile environments and has strong knowledge of both modern AWS and development good practice.

Key Skills

• Experience of working with, building, modernisation and migration of Java and Spring Boot based microservices
• Experience of working with public cloud technologies (for this role, we require AWS specifically)
• Experience of TDD and Unit-Test tooling
• Experience of acting in a position of seniority within engineering teams within Government projects to deliver/enhance public facing services
• Familiar with JavaScript and best-practice approaches
• Demonstrable experience in mentoring and conducting knowledge transfer to junior permanent in-house staff
