Full Job Description

The Development Coordinator supports their aligned business department with all development initiatives, focusing on managing and implementing programmes that enhance employee capability, skills, performance, and career growth. This role collaborates with a variety of people but works closely with the aligned Development Consultant, subject matter experts, and business managers to support the delivery of the people development priorities. The role will be responsible for owning the co-ordination and effective delivery of development programmes, and the execution of key processes, such as meeting the training and competency standards defined in regulatory frameworks., Activities a Development Coordinator will be responsible for vary between departments. These are some of the things you will be responsible for:

  • Management of the planning and implementation of relevant training programmes, ensuring delivery to the highest standards. Examples include departmental inductions and trainee pro-grammes. This includes logistical activity for programme rotations, diary management, and scheduling in Workday Learning.
  • Assist with departmental performance, development, and review activity by extracting data from Workday or uploading data associated with processes such as succession planning.
  • Work with the Development Consultant to coordinate business knowledge sessions, sometimes in association with other departments. This will involve all logistics and scheduling activity in Workday Learning.
  • Create, maintain, and provide access to a repository of development tools.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and the internal Training & Competence (T&C) process including annual refresher training and sign-off process.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments and the internal talent and development community to share knowledge and experience, and leverage the tools and resources provided by colleagues in specialist roles.
  • Explore technology solutions to simplify and improve the efficiency of key processes and procedures, such as meeting annual training reporting requirements.
  • Manage queries relating to the department's development programmes and processes.
  • Support broader departmental activities associated with building knowledge such as away days or townhalls.

    Experience in coordinating multiple development programmes simultaneously.
  • An understanding of the regulatory framework and T&C sign-off processes.
  • Experience in using learning management systems to manage learning programmes.
  • Experience in facilitating briefings and focus groups at all levels, including senior stakeholders.

  • Able to extract data from a variety of sources, manipulate and draw insights to assist with evaluation or provide updates on the status of development programmes and key processes, such as T&C sign- off.

  • Able to nurture relationships within the department and across the talent and learning community.
