Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Band 5 team member to join our 2 post rotation within the friendly and progressive Raigmore Hospital Acute Nutrition and Dietetic Team, part of a wider NHS Highland Dietetic workforce.

 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills gaining clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient areas of:  general medicine including stroke rehabilitation, infectious diseases, care of the elderly and respiratory as well as the opportunity to rotate between specialist clinical areas.

Clinical supervision and support will be provided by experienced senior staff and your Band 5 rotational peer.  There will also be an opportunity to contribute to the student placement program shaping the future of the Dietetic Workforce after 6 months of employment. 
  

NHS Highland are happy to support your early employment as Band 4 Dietetic Assistant Practitioner prior to HCPC registration when you would then transfer to the Band 5 role therefore pre-graduate applications will be considered on the basis you will progress to full HCPC registration.


We are looking for a team member who is self-motivated, can work well in a team, demonstrate good communication skills and has commitment to quality and improving patient care.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
