Full Job Description

The work of Technology Services within DDaT is expanding, and we are supporting an increasing number of colleagues. We need a Digital Engagement Manager who can oversee and co-ordinate our engagement across our Digital space. As part of this role, you will create content for and manage the team’s presence across our Digital estate, increasing the profile of our work and showcasing new user features ensuring that the work we do is highlighted to our communities., You will:
+ Work with the Technology Services team to highlight improved ways of working in the organisation using Microsoft 365 solutions, to help achieve a more efficient public service delivery
+ Work with the Technology Services team to develop, manage and implement the Microsoft 365 roadmap, leveraging new platform innovations as they are released.
+ Provide a professional first point of contact for digital engagement enquiries, advice and information to stakeholders within the organisation
+ Assist with training and adoption of new Microsoft 365 solutions and processes including delivery and creation of training plans, materials and documentation
+ Monitoring the M365 support network in Microsoft Teams, posting regular announcements relating to M365 updates and responding to questions posted by colleagues across the department
+ Delivering internal engagement products covering topics such as Learning and Development, Professions, and Microsoft 365 feature releases, Sift will be from week commencing 30th September

How we offer
Offers will be made in merit order based on location preferences. If you pass the bar at interview but are not the highest scoring you will be held on a 12-month reserve list in case a role becomes available. If you are judged a near miss at interview, you may be offered a post at the grade below the one you applied for.
This role requires SC clearance. DBT’s requirement for SC clearance is to have been present in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years. Failure to meet this requirement will result in your application being rejected and your offer will be withdrawn.

You will be someone who can unblock issues where they arise and work effectively with a range of experts. You will be a strong communicator, who can draft and cascade engaging communications to a wide range of stakeholders. You will work with the team to implement changes and support staff. You will actively promote the use of M365 applications, helping the department make the most of the M365 applications that are available. This role is varied and challenging, so a can-do attitude, flexible approach, and excellent relationship management skills are a must., + The ability to present complex technical information clearly to a non-technical audience, with the ability to provide the appropriate level of detail
+ Excellent communication/negotiation skills (both written and verbal) and experience of managing various stakeholders differing in levels of seniority
+ Proficiency in workplace engagement, preferably within a digital environment
+ The ability to use engagement techniques to support the delivery of a piece of work and /or successfully “land” change
+ Organisational skills with the capability to manage emerging and conflicting demands in a changing environment
It is desirable that you have:
+ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Planner, Intranet publishing systems, MS Outlook, MS Teams and other business critical-platforms
+ Proven ability to effectively juggle varied workload and react to regular requests from across the business

+ A Civil Service pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%, This role can only be worked from within the UK, not overseas. If you are based in London, you will receive London weighting. DBT employees work in a hybrid pattern, spending 2-3 days a week (pro rata) in the office on average.
