As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase, you lead a technical area within Corporate Technology's Finance domain, driving impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.,

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures.
• Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
• Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.
• Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
  
  Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Experience in enterprise-scale application design, development, and operational stability.
• Practical cloud-native experience.
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data and distributed computation systems (HDFS, Spark, Apache Flink, Databricks).
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python & Spring Boot, and cloud-native foundations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.).
• Proficiency with AWS services, including EMR and EKS.
• Experience with Hadoop and Spark ecosystems.
