The shift pattern for this position is 5 over 7 including weekends and PHs.

An opportunity has become available for a District Charge Nurse post within Renfrewshire HSCP. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic District Nurse to become part of our team. Applicants require to hold a level 1 NMC registration and additionally have successfully attained SPQ Specialist practitioner qualification in District nursing or equivalent. Community travelling is a necessary part of the role and as such potential applicants should hold a current driving license. As a member of the Primary Health Care Team and working collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leaders, the District Nurse will assist in the implementation of local and national strategies and will provide clinical and managerial leadership to the nursing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day management of their team to ensure person centred assessment and care planning by providing clinical expertise, supervision and oversight.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
