Full Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is 5 days over 7 including weekends and public holidays.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic registered nurse who is looking to progress their career into education to support the delivery of education and training for our community nursing workforce

You should have a PgD in Advancing District Nursing Practice and significant experience in this field to join our team as a Clinical Practice Development Nurse.

You will manage a case load 3 days per week and work as Clinical Practice Development Nurse 2 days per week.

You role will involve:

  • Leading a team of nurses
  • Working in collaboration with other members of staff to support their development by providing evidence based care.
  • Providing extensive clinical advice and support to enhance the knowledge base and practical skills of nurses, healthcare assistants and nursing associates.

You will act as a role model for delivering high quality care through strong education leadership, evidence-based training and education, and effective coaching and assessment in clinical practice.

You will be an expert practitioner and change agent within the District Nursing team promoting lifelong learning.

The shift pattern is 5 days over a seven-day service which will include Public holidays, Weekends.
