The successful candidate will work closely with the project management team to manage the flow of documents and information amongst various Programme stakeholders. This role is crucial for implementing the document control process for all parties involved, including internal departments, customer stakeholders, and supply chain partners. The Document Controller will guide team members on workflow processes and act as the initial point of contact for any queries related to the Document Control Procedure.

The candidate will also brief new personnel on the Document Control Process and software operation, manage document numbering, status, and revision control, and ensure quality assurance on supplier documentation. Additionally, they will act as the primary contact for document workflow activities with supply chain partners, liaise with the Navy customer organisation for efficient document distribution and feedback, and maintain a deliverable look-ahead plan with the Project Management and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in document control activities, be detail-focused with a process-oriented approach, and possess strong organisational skills to complete tasks efficiently and within agreed timescales. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities is essential. Experience of working in a construction organisation is desirable.
