Domestic Supervisor
Hospice Band 3
Starting salary £27,933 (rising to £28,998 following review & satisfactory performance) pro-rata, per annum (based on 37.5 hours per week) + unsocial hours enhancement + Pension
Part-time 30 hours (Back Shift), Monday to Sunday (5 days over 7)
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our friendly, hard-working Domestic team. The Domestic Supervisor will play an important role in delivering front line services within the Hospice to ensure a clean and safe environment. You will be involved in a daily allocation of work for back shift. You will assist the Domestic Services Lead in running a team of Domestic Staff, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Previous experience in supervising staff and cleaning are required alongside the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will be PC literate and able to prioritise and organise daily duties following departmental procedures. Good communication skills and time keeping are also essential for the role.
Experience with cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting would be an advantage, as would SVQ or BICS qualifications, although not essential. You must be prepared to work shift patterns which also include weekends.
