Full Job Description

The Human Resources department provides support and advice to managers and staff on HR and Development matters. Some of our key focus areas include recruiting staff, providing support for team and personal training and development, anticipating future resource needs of the organisation and ensuring that our reward and benefits packages are competitive., Under the guidance of the Early Careers Manager, this role will be responsible for attracting talented, diverse individuals to our graduate and apprenticeship programmes and managing the recruitment and selection process, whilst ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout.,

  • Supporting the development and evolution of our early careers programmes in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders within the business to deliver early careers activities, including but not limited to marketing materials, recruitment processes and continual improvement of our early careers offerings.
  • Creating and delivering a programme of campus events, both face to face and online.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Early Careers team and other HR teams, as well as key contacts with the business. Â
  • Ensuring that diversity and inclusion is a central pillar of the Early Careers strategy.
  • Supporting any other work as required to help the team deliver the early careers campaign.
  • Supporting the market and attraction activity and partnership with external contacts.

    Previous experience of managing and delivering high volume early careers attraction and recruitment campaigns is essential. The successful candidate will have experience of the full campaign cycle including:
  • + Reviewing previous campaign data to build future plans + Creation of marketing messages and campaign material + Design of assessment material + Delivery of interviews and assessment centres, including facilitation of exercises and supporting hiring managers with interviews where appropriate + Management of the third-party suppliers who support our early careers campaigns
  • A solid understanding of graduate programmes with the ability to promote them at a range of events
  • Extensive knowledge of the apprenticeship landscape in Scotland and a strong network of contacts to help us develop in this space.
  • The knowledge and network within the early careers market to ensure we are always learning and staying competitive
  • A well-developed knowledge of the UK school and university system
  • Experience of running an effective keep warm campaign
  • Experience of influencing , managing multiple activities and delivering projects
  • The type of candidate that we’re looking for: We are seeking a candidate with strong influencing skills and the ability to manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting other programmes when necessary and ensuring seamless integration, while also possessing the capability to work independently. They should have extensive experience in leading interviews and facilitating assessment centres, along with the ability to review and update assessment materials as needed. Proficiency in data analysis, reporting key findings, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities is essential. They should be adept at managing a busy workload, handling unexpected changes, and prioritising tasks effectively. Strong communication and excellent relationship management skills are crucial, as is the ability to travel across the UK during peak recruitment cycles from September to December.
