Driving Licence As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

PVG Membership This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups will be required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council. Please note: PVG member's records are constantly updated with any new vetting information that arises. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly designed unique service focusing on early intervention in the first 1001 days. The service provides tailored support and interventions to families to help understand and promote positive parent-infant relationships. This will include a variety of groupwork, outreach, 1-1 work and centre based sessions to enable families to thrive to their full potential. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and passionate about making a difference in the lives of infants and their families. This is an ideal role for somebody who enjoys working in a varied and fast-paced environment where you can have a positive input and use your own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills., Educated to NNEB, HNC in Childcare and Education or SVQ3 in Childcare and Education, or other relevant qualification along with experience in working with parents and young children. SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.
