Midlothian

The children in Burnbrae Primary deserve excellent staff to support their learning, staff who are forward thinking and aspirational for each and every child.

Burnbrae Primary is a large, modern, non-denominational school over two campuses, situated in Bonnyrigg, Midlothian. We have a large Nursery and Complex Needs Provision at Burnbrae Early situated on a Joint Campus with St Mary’s RC Primary. At the Burnbrae Road Campus we have 18 classes in our Primary School Primaries 1-7. The Senior Leadership Team consists of three Depute Head Teachers and a Head Teacher supported by four Principal Teachers (2 part time).

Our vision is to play, grow and learn together. We believe in and promote the values of kindness, respect and curiosity. We place our learners at the centre of all we do and strive to ensure that all children achieve their highest potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Applications for this post are invited from Early Years Practitioners who have interest and experience in supporting children who experience barriers to their learning through additional support needs. An understanding of trauma informed practice and the vision and energy to promote the high standards of this school in our Complex Needs Provision are necessary. The Complex Needs Provision is a modern bespoke building and grounds at the joint campus Burnbrae shares with St Mary’s Primary School. There are 36 children in four classes and a team comprising Class Teachers, Learning Assistants and Early Years Practitioners led by a Principal Teacher.
