Full Job Description

Join our team as an E-commerce Assistant and support the Services Manager in a thriving e-commerce business that caters to the double glazing and hardware industries. We serve both trade professionals and the general public. This is an onsite office-based role where you will work closely with team members and report directly to the Services Manager. Remote workers need not apply.

We seek a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage our product listings across our websites and various platforms, including eBay, Facebook, and Amazon. Your responsibilities will include updating and maintaining accurate product and business information to ensure our online presence remains current. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong general computer skills are essential. While basic image manipulation and website coding skills are beneficial, they are not essential as long as you are willing to learn. Training will be provided. Please note that applicants without computer experience should not apply.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Add new products to websites and selling platforms, including descriptions, pricing, images, and specifications.
Update product listings and informational pages to ensure accuracy and alignment with company strategies.
Organise and maintain the product catalogue, ensuring correct SEO, categories, tags, and stock levels.
Collaborate with suppliers to gather and integrate product information into our websites and platforms.
Use Microsoft Word and Excel to create and update various documents and spreadsheets.
Learn and implement basic SEO techniques.
Edit and optimise product images; create basic graphics for promotions using editing and AI tools.
Monitor website inventory and coordinate with team members to manage stock availability online.
Assist with troubleshooting, and implementing basic coding updates to enhance website functionality.

You should present yourself professionally with a positive, 'can-do' attitude. Strong problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to procedures and communicate effectively both over the phone and in person are essential. Working well within a team, taking initiative, efficiently organizing your workday, and managing multiple tasks are vital, as is the ability to work independently without supervision. We also expect all applicants to demonstrate loyalty, trustworthiness, and excellent timekeeping., NC in Computing, Marketing, Administration, or an equivalent qualification or relevant experience.

Hours:
This part-time position currently offers 12-15 hours per week (Monday-Friday). We are open to negotiating specific days and hours to accommodate parental, caregiving, or educational commitments.
