Bellsquarry Primary School and Early Learning Centre is non-denominational and serves the community of Bellsquarry and the surrounding areas. It is part of the James Young High School Cluster. 

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Practitioner to join the early years team in the nursery. The nursery is open between 7.45am – 6.15 pm, 50 weeks per year and staff are required to work flexibly across these hours.  The post is Monday/Tuesday.

Our vision develops the four capacities within Curriculum for Excellence and supports every learner in their wellbeing and development.  We strive to do all we can to ensure that our children receive an excellent education. We encourage children to find pleasure in learning and playing together, to understand, respect and value the different cultures and backgrounds that enrich our school and its community.

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.  SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.  If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
