Eliburn Nursery Class is based in the former Livingston Family Centre building, Jackson Place , Livingston and is managed by the Headteacher of Peel Primary School.

We are seeking two enthusiastic ELC practitioners to join the team in the nursery to develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the setting. The setting is open 50 week per year and staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours.

The post holder must have an HNC in childcare or equivalent and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment. Hold Scottish Socials Services Ccouncil registration as a practitioner

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. 

SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
