St. Ninian’s Primary School and Nursery Class serve the communities of Dedridge, Adambrae and Murieston. Our school roll is 240 and nursery with up to 40 children per session.
We are seeking an enthuisatic practitioner to join nursery team within the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment, and will ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents and other appropriate professionals. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work on a rota across the opening hours.
The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment. The post-holder must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a practitioner and will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure check.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.
