ELC Practitioner required, full time post Monday to Friday, shifts will include 8am to 4pm and 10am to 6pm.

Maternity Cover 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, fixed term to 10 August 2025

The post holder will be a member of the nursery team with the setting supporting early learning and the Early Years Officer. The post holder will develop and promote high quality learning experiences for all children within the establishment, and will ensure the effective use of positive behaviour strategies for all children in partnership with staff, parents and other appropriate professionals.  The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff work across the opening hours.

The post-holder must be educated to HNC/SVQ3 level in Early Education and Childcare or provide equivalent qualifications and be able to demonstrate breadth and depth of experience in an early year’s educational establishment.  The post-holder must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a practitioner and will be subject to Enhanced Disclosure.

St. Ninian’s Primary School and Nursery Class serve the communities of Dedridge, Adambrae and Murieston. Our school roll is 240 and we have a 40/30 nursery class.
