Williamston Primary School is a large, two stream, non-denominational school serving the Murieston area of Livingston which is part of the James Young cluster.  The school role for this sessions is currently 422 pupils, organised over 15 classes, with a further 72 children attending a variety of sessions in the nursery.  We are seeking an enthusatic practitioner to join the team in the nursey which is open 50 week per year and staff work on a rota across the opening hours from 7.45am to 6.15pm.

The school benefits from a supportive and proactive Parent Council/PSA group.  They are extremely enthusiastic, supportive and committed to improving the work and life of the school and ELC.

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
