Full Job Description
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dedicated team based in our Glasgow packaging site on a weekend only basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference on our business by:
- Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets and their availability across the site as well as supporting installation, commissioning and testing within the site.
- Working closely with site personnel to ensure all maintenance is effectively developed and delivered and to provide feedback on relative improvements across the site. Coaching Operations team on any spirit supply issues or learnings to develop with capability.
- Implementing anddeveloping maintenance programmes that support and improve asset performance and utilisation. Being accountable to ensure all assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) scheduled are carried out at the defined frequency and completed to our required standard.
- Promptly and appropriately responding to plant breakdowns and to secure & repair the root cause to minimise downtime.
- Reporting any outcome of plant maintenance issues via SAP to ensure best practise has been shared.
- Keeping Health & safety compliance and high-quality standards are the forefront of your work.At all times adhere to Diageo health and safety, environmental and food safety standards, and work to all applicable legislative procedures.
We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills, can communicate to all levels, develop key relationships and have the ability to make effective decisions and drive improvements using specialist knowledge. We would love to talk to someone who has the ability to use initiative and push forward their own ideas whilst offering guidance and support for our current approaches. - You'll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and use yourexcellent analytical skills to solve problems.
- You'll be a time served Electrical Engineer with the relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
- It'd be great if you had a knowledge of working in the FMCG industry however this is not essential.
