Full Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Maintenance Engineer in Aberdeen. This will be a hybrid role based at the client office in the city centre. 3 days per week will be required in the office weekly. Delivery of discipline tasks within an assets or projects in accordance with the company's operating policies and principles. Provision of discipline and subject matter expertise Work with related service contracts Executing assigned scopes of work Delivering against contract Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and business objectives Part of the on-call emergency response RESPONSIBILITIES People:

  • Supervision of Graduate Engineers.
  • Manages performance of direct reports
  • Process Ownership:
  • Work with 3^rd party support contracts & site teams
  • Adherence to the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and delivery of the technical safety standard expectations and technical assurance.
  • Participate in audits & incident investigations as required.
  • Represent Operations EMEA discipline in the contract.
  • Actively maintaining own competence and continuous development.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
  • Be very familiar with supported assets, their systems of work and operations teams.
  • Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintain own competence according to standards and pursue continuous professional development.
  • Provide delivery support to the business.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
  • Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.
  • General:
  • Deputising for Principal as required.
  • Executing assigned personal objectives.
  • Interact with multi-discipline operations teams.
  • Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.
  • Management of third-party suppliers.

  • Working relationships; Internal:
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate within the site delivery team.
  • Engage with the wider wood operations and maintenance community including networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain communication with respective focal points, technical authorities and directorate.
  • Engage with inter-discipline community and promote discipline including networking / knowledge sharing i.e., GTEN.
  • Agree personal development plan with line manager.
  • External:
  • Establish and/or maintaining an awareness of external stakeholders including industry bodies, academia, vendors, client interface (as appropriate and requested).
  • Level of influence and authority making:
  • As delegated by Manager in accordance with competency assessment.
  • Work is performed under general direction and is reviewed for conformance with policies and general efficiency. Receives supervision.

    Technical training to at least ISCED Level 5 or equivalent qualification, preferably working towards a degree or equivalent in Engineering / Science / Marine
  • or
  • Recognised and accredited trade or management qualification with relevant considerable experience.
  • Marine Specific:
  • Licenced Ships, Deck or Engineering officer with Seafarers Documentation conforming to ILO & STCW conventions.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience: Experience: Demonstrable balance of industrial and management experience at relevant level and position gained through typically 8 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant industry. Excellent oral and written communication skills Able to manage a 5 person discipline team covering professional, trade and direct sub-contractors. Skills:
