Full Job Description

We are growing our electrical division to meet the ever-increasing needs of our expanding business. We are looking for an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join the team at our Northern Region. You'll be responsible for planning, organising, and prioritising the day-to-day electrical service schedule and compliance for our electrical installations across the region. Responsibilities within the role:

  • Ensure Electrical Testing Certification is completed accurately and in a timely manner by the Electrical Team and all certification is kept up to date and compliant with current BS7671 Wiring Regulations across all regions in the North/South of the UK.
  • Ensure the Electrical Service Schedule for our on-hire fleet of electrical equipment is kept up to date across the regions.
  • Attending various sites after installations are complete to audit and document the standards of the electrical work carried out to ensure it is compliant.
  • Attending site installations with the mobile electrical team to ensure the work being carried out is to current regulations and providing guidance to the team to ensure the work is always being completed to the required standards.
  • To keep the Electrical manager informed and provide regular reports on matters including performance, safety, compliance, quality, and employee development.
  • Ensure all necessary administration and records required for the control of work within the department is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

    A qualified electrician, holding an ECS Gold card with Installation Electrician highlighted.
  • Ideally experience in a similar industry, preferably construction or the Water Industry
  • Experience working with Electrical Testing Certifications and audits.
  • A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations
  • A confident communicator, able to give clear and concise instructions in person, over the phone and via email across all levels of the branch network.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressured environment, balancing your own workload with the needs of the team, knowing what tasks to prioritise and when.
  • A good aptitude for problem solving and decision making, able to think outside the box, with a can-do attitude.
  • An industrial/construction/utilities background would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A comprehensive understanding of electrical health and safety regulations., ECS Gold card with Installation Electrician
  • City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent qualification
  • Experience as NICEIC Quality Supervisor is preferred
  • SSSTS- Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme is preferred
  • CSCS Card holder
  • IOSH Managing Safely certificate is preferred
  • Hold a full driving licence (no more than 6 points) and be willing to travel across the North region as required.
