Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced, and dynamic team member with a passion for minor injuries. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Emergency Department (ED) Advanced Practice Team.
The post-holder will be expected to manage minor injury presentations, over the age of one year old within the ED and Minor Injury Unit, delivering autonomous and expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients. In addition to the direct clinical management of patients they will provide education and support to members of the ED team.
Along with clinical expectations, successful candidates will also ensure that they address the non-clinical pillars of practice including evidence, research and development, facilitation of learning and leadership.
If required, the successful candidates will initially undertake academic study and clinical competency frameworks to underpin evidence for the clinical role.
Credentials for Band 7 Advanced ENP:
- Significant experience of working within ED.
- Completion of HEI accredited clinical courses.
- Independent Prescribing Qualification V300
- Clinical Examination & Advanced History Taking course.
- Minor Injuries or equivalent
- Evidence of commitment to developing others, self and service.
- Credentials for Band 7 Annex 21 Trainee Advanced ENP:
- Significant experience of working within ED.
- Completion of HEI Minor Injuries or equivalent course
- Working towards or be willing to complete:
- Independent Prescribing Qualification V300
- Clinical Examination & Advanced History Taking course.
- Evidence of commitment to developing others, self and service.
