Enabler | Part time | 22 hours

Salary: | £28,332 - £30,419 pro rata (£15.50 - £16.64 per hour)
Hours: 17.5 hours per week | Three days per week (including some weekend working)
Location: National Museum of Flight, East Lothian, Scotland

About the Enabler role:

In this engaging and hands-on role, you will connect our collections with our key audiences such as schools, families and communities both in person and online. working independently within a small team, every day is a new adventure and opportunity to share inclusive and creative programmes and activities with our diverse audience and visitors.

As an Enabler at National Museums Scotland you will:
* Deliver a range of inclusive and creative programmes, activities and events for a diverse range of audiences from schools to families and communities
* Collaborate with a range of colleagues to ensure effective operational planning and delivery of events and activities
* Animate across online, on-site and community spaces offering creative engagement and participatory experiences for established and new audiences and communities
* Supervise and support freelance staff and volunteers involved in the delivery of programmes and events, when appropriate
* Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of programmes, to ensure they meet visitor needs and operational requirements.

Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Enabler:
* Experience of working in either a museum, gallery, learning organisation, cultural sector or visitor attraction
* Ability to plan and schedule effectively
* Ability to demonstrate an exceptional standard of customer service through well-established and effective communication skills
* CT skills in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience of using digital technology to devise and/or deliver engaging experiences for a range of audiences.
