Full Job Description

Base Location:Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to: - Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin., We have an exciting opportunity for a Energy Analytics Team Manager to lead the Onshore Renewables Energy Analytics team, supporting our extensive pipeline of wind, solar and battery energy storage projects in their development, construction and initial operational phases. You'll play a key role in the Energy Analytics (EA) team within SSER's Technical Centre of Excellence, using your technical expertise in delivering a wide range of analysis and modelling activities towards SSE Renewables pipeline of onshore wind farms and co-located development projects.

As Energy Analytics Team Manager some of your main accountabilities will include;

- Managing and providing leadership and strategic direction for the Energy Analytics team in supporting all wind farm development projects in the SSE Renewables Onshore portfolio.

- Ensure all key team outputs and delivery are to the highest accuracy and quality standards, making sure that project designs are optimised, and risks/opportunities are provided to key stakeholders.

- Identify and implement the necessary resourcing requirements to support the project portfolio and that the required tools and capabilities are in place.

- Striving for a culture of continuous improvement with a shared focus on developing the team's capabilities, whilst identifying improvements regarding the design and value of future projects.

Experience of leading and developing a team of technical analysts or subject matter experts

- A good understanding of commercial drivers for major infrastructure projects, such as cost and revenue modelling.

- Knowledge of project risk assessments, energy markets and government energy policy.

- Experience of being part of project development teams within a Power Generation environment.

- Experience of liaising with and managing external contractors and consultants
