Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time

As the Engineering Manager you will -

  • Provide assurance of technical integrity of all products delivered

  • Input to the monitoring of Engineering and Construction performance in line with client and Company requirements

  • Align delivery across all technical disciplines to ensure optimal results are delivered to clients

  • Oversee the delivery of cost effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value to both PD&MS and the Client

  • Review technical delivery against pre-determined internal KPI's

  • Review technical delivery against client specific KPI's

  • Monitor engineering and construction productivity and implementing remedial measures where applicable

  • Coordinate the interface between engineering disciplines and other functions within projects where necessary

  • Ensure correct work sequencing and workflow are in place across disciplines/ project phases (e.g. procurement, construction) to prevent re-work, or conversely the ability of dependent disciplines to make optimal progress. Intervening to resolve potential conflict if such situations arise

  • Oversee and input to improvement of engineering and construction processes and procedures

  • Engage with technical department heads to ensure correct allocation of resources in line with project requirement

  • Review SIR's and Technical queries raised within projects

  • Maintain dialogue with Contract Managers to ensure project requirements are being serviced as required

  • Prepare and endorse estimates and tender packages

  • Convene high level engineering and construction meetings to ensure alignment across the Company

  • Review and monitor the competence of engineering and construction personnel. In conjunction with HoD's, determine and implement a plan to manage shortfalls

  • Impart up to date technical developments, client, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to the position

    Opportunities for transferable skills: if you're experience isn't traditional oil & gas, we still want to hear from you! If you've EPC experience in nuclear, rail, utilities, Petro-chemical, renewables, marine and pharmaceuticals then please apply, You'll have experience of:

  • EPC, Brownfield and Greenfield projects.

  • Executing and deliver engineering and design of technical projects

  • Industry specific systems and their design and operational requirements., BSc in relevant Engineering Discipline

  • Chartered Engineering Status

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking/Approval

  • Understanding of all Engineering disciplines

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards

  • Significant, demonstrable experience managing multiple technical disciplines
