Here at ISS as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers are looking to develop their engineering resource against the client's flagship, Mission Critical facility in Glasgow, just off the River Clyde, across from the train station

We provide Technical and none Technical facilities services, with the engineering side delivered by a team of Shift Engineers, Shift Leads, Supervisor and Manager.

This is a 24/7 operation with the Shift team looking after Electrical infrastructure (LV and HV) plus HVAC and Fabric.

The site itself is for a global corporate banking organisation, and is a multi building development, consisting of several corporate offices and leisure facilities. This site is classed as a Critical Environment, and so the engineering service needs to be of a high level

The Supervisor is the link between the Manager and Engineering team, and so the role will largely focus on leadership, and compliance, with very little work on the tools.

This is a high responsibility role playing a pivotal part in Technical Delivery on a truly prestige site, working for a global company and a global account.

We are looking for a confident leader, electrically qualified (ideally with HV AP) and comfortable to work in a corporate, fast moving, complex environment

Actions will include:

  • Ensure on-going adherence to engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements. This includes but not limited to, AP/CP process, the use of Permit to Access, Permit to Work, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, using required process/ systems including e-permits.
  • Provide support in evaluation and any reviews of Safe Systems of Work within area of designated responsibility.
  • Provide technical support in respect to the collation and submission of reporting system for accidents and near misses.
  • Oversee all Engineering / technical contract activities, ensuring all safety aspects are followed in accordance with processes, procedures and local requirements.
  • Assist in auditing of systems for which you are responsible, making yourself fully available to attend any external audits where necessary.
  • Carry out regular reviews of the Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the activities associated with your role.
  • Effectively lead and manage the Shift teams
  • Report into the Senior Engineering Manager and support them with client facing responsibilities
