Engineering Supervisor

West Coast Motors is a privately owned family business established in the early 1920's. We operate buses and coaches on a mix of school contracts, local services, school and private group hires across Argyll with local depots in Campbeltown, Ardrishaig, Oban, Mull, Bute and Dunoon. We have a very rare and exciting opportunity for the position of Engineering Supervisor based at our busy in Oban. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the post holder will be responsible for: · Assisting with the management of all engineering resources to ensure the provision of fit and serviceable vehicles of sufficient number to meet operational requirements · Leading and motivating the engineering team ensuring performance of their duties and providing advice and guidance as necessary · Ensuring vehicles and their records are maintained, allocated, and monitored as required · To plan and monitor the quality and quantity of vehicle inspections and MOT's and follow up on any non-compliance · Assist with the control and recording of vehicle modification programmes · Identify training needs and make recommendations for further training · Ensuring all staff fully understand and comply with health and safety policies and procedures and engineering legislation The successful candidate must have: · A full UK driving licence, PCV licence desirable, 1. declare that you have read, understood and accepted the statements set out in the Recruitment Data Protection Policy available on the Company website; 2. are declaring that the information given in the application is complete and true to the best of your knowledge, and understand that deliberate omissions and incorrect statements could lead to your application being rejected; 3. are giving your consent to the processing of the information contained in this application and any other personal data you may provide separately in the manner and to the extent described; 4. are authorising the Company to verify or have verified on their behalf all statements contained in this application and to make any necessary reference checks. + I confirm
