An opportunity has arisen for a England Men's & Events Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team on a permanent basis., We are looking for an England Men's & Events Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing campaigns that deliver against key business objectives, across commercial sales and Rugby fandom. The England Men's & Events Marketing Manager is responsible for developing campaigns that aim to sell tickets for a number of events, including England Men's tickets, Under 20s and Stadium hires, as well as increasing levels of fandom for the England Men's team.,

  • Ownership of marketing campaign plans across rugby fandom in England with responsibility for England Men's awareness and ticket sales campaigns, Under-20s ticket sales campaigns and stadium hire events. Identifying opportunities to grow fan engagement and first party databases, in close collaboration with the CRM team.
  • Development and delivery of TTL marketing campaigns, from research and insights to delivery and evaluation. As project lead, you will manage key relationships with Content, Brand, Communications and Commercial teams to deliver campaigns to brief.
  • Work in close partnership with the CRM team to develop strategies and initiatives that drive greater fan engagement and database growth.
  • Ownership of influencer marketing strategy. Leading for the campaigns team, managing direct and agency relationships with influencers and ambassadors.
  • Manage multiple partnerships, including Premiership Rugby and Allianz Stadium hirers, delivering against contractual agreements for each.
  • Own ongoing relationships with marketing contacts at host venues for 'on the road' matches.
  • Work closely with Strategy and Insights team to ensure campaigns fit with business strategy and have insights at the centre of all planning. Use latest insights to update campaign strategy and continuously review against business priorities.
  • Connect with and motivate external agencies including paid media agency and creative agencies to deliver on projects, including briefing and campaign optimisation.
  • Initiate and develop creative briefs for agencies and the in-house studio for marketing campaign assets.
  • Ensure all campaigns have clear and consistent messaging, in line with England Rugby brand guidelines.
  • Analyse campaign performance against agreed KPIs, providing regular updates and post campaign analysis with actionable insights to demonstrate effectiveness and ROI and optimize future campaigns.
  • Management of Match Marketing and Pathways budgets, ensuring accurate accounting and regular reporting.
  • Work closely with Commercial Partnerships team to ensure marketing plans are developed alongside partners.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in sports and digital marketing, sharing learnings and bring innovative ideas to the table to keep campaigns relevant.
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.

  • Essential:
  • Demonstrable experience in a marketing role in a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience of social media, digital & CRM campaigns.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including agency & industry partners.
  • Experience leading collaborative cross-functional projects.
  • Good writing ability and presentation style, adaptable to suit different communication tools and audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent attention to detail - pride in work, completed to high standard.
  • Clear communicator - able to tailor communication style to different audiences and present complex projects in a simple, clear manner to different teams, including senior stakeholders.
  • Pro-active self-starter - anticipating & pre-empting projects & tasks, taking ownership for commencing work and a desire to learn and grow.

  • Desirable:
  • Sports marketing experience.
  • Good knowledge of rugby - both international and grassroots desirable.
  • A passion for rugby or sports.
  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent with relevant professional qualification (e.g. CIPR, CAM, CIM or equivalent).
