Full Job Description

  • Support the Environmental Manager with the implementation of the SHEQ Environmental Strategy to drive continual improvement.
  • Support the delivery of key environmental programmes, including but not limited to
  • + the Environmental Aspects & Impacts programme + Spill response training. + Compliance with permits, licences and consents + Delivery of environmental & waste audits
  • Verify compliance with environmental legislation, permits / consents; and promote best practice:
  • Conduct environmental related site inspections and audits.
  • Complete environmental legal reviews.
  • Raise awareness of key environmental issues / risks to the business.
  • Assist with incident investigations, trend analysis and reporting.

    Previous proven experience in an Environmental Management / Compliance role
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in an environmental field
  • IEMA membership is desired but not essential
  • Knowledge and practical experience of environmental legislation and best practice
  • A good technical understanding of key environmental legislation and guidance, including permits, waste management and pollution control.
  • A flexible approach to work, both office based and on site, with the ability to travel with nights away from home to fulfil programme needs.
