Environmental management is a key role within our teams and we have an excellent opportunity for an Environmental Manager to join our flagship HMP Glasgow project., As a Environmental Manager at Kier working on HMP Glasgow, you will fulfil a key role managing the environmental advisor resource to meet the needs of a large, high value project, you will take the lead to team provide specialist environmental and sustainability advice to support pre-construction and construction teams with the development and delivery of a large, world-class building project. Your day to day may include, but not be limited to:

• Manage Environmental Advisors within the team to ensure adequate resource allocation, quality of work and completion against project programme.
• Review pre-construction information to evaluate environmental sustainability risks and opportunities
• Work with pre-construction and project team to deliver sustainable outcomes and manage environmental risk
• Identify and work with competent consultants/service providers of environmental sustainability services to preconstruction and operational teams
• Identify and support project team with obtaining authorisations / permits / licences / consents and engage with relevant Regulatory bodies.
• Support the successful delivery of BREEAM, DREAM & CEEQUAL projects.
  
  You will have experience in a similar managerial role within the construction or civil engineering industry.
• You'll be proficient in the use of MS Office and have prior knowledge / experience of sustainability schemes such as BREEAM/ DREAM/ CEEQUAL.
• You will be able to demonstrate strong communication and organisational abilities.
• You will have excellent organisational skills , able to manage multiple workloads concurrent.
• You will be able to issue clear written and spoken instruction to internal and external stakeholders.
